Located just 56 miles from New York City, Carmel Central School
District provides a high quality education for students within a
pristine suburban setting. The District encompasses 85 square miles
and welcomes students and their families from the towns of Kent,
Carmel, Putnam Valley, Patterson, Southeast and East Fishkill.
Carmel Schools are comprised of three elementary schools housing
students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade; a middle school
for students in grades five through eight; a high school for students
in grades nine through twelve; and an alternative high school. The
District serves about 5000 students and employs more than 800 staff
members.
